Cutest Pair of Flats!

Is it possible to build an entire look around a pair of shoes? DEFINITELY! I recently was in the city with my husband and kids and the shoes I wore for the day were super pretty, but PAINFUL! By lunch time I was in tears and hobbling down Broadway. I had to find a pair of shoes ASAP or I wasn't going to make it through (or enjoy) the rest of the day! Thankfully, I happened upon an H & M and not only found the CUTEST pair of shoes, but they were super comfy too- THANK GOODNESS!

I absolutely LOVE the bow detail on these flats (different color)! And can you believe they are only $25?! I kept the rest the look simple and classic.  I grabbed my favorite Citizens of Humanity jeans, cream silk top and tan cape! Accessory: Chanel Handbag (similar) :-)

BEST Jacket Ever!

The weather this Fall has been so odd! I keep waiting for the cooler weather to set in, so that I can finally break out some of my new Fall pieces...especially jackets! A jacket can be such a fun and easy way to add a little "pizazz" to your look ....did I just say pizazz? Oh man, I'm getting old.

So, this jacket from Zara makes me feel like a cross between Michael Jackson and George Washington! The detail is amazing and it is only $150. I thought it was a appropriate to take my pic with these guys - George Washington, Marquis de Lafayette, a…

So, this jacket from Zara makes me feel like a cross between Michael Jackson and George Washington! The detail is amazing and it is only $150. I thought it was a appropriate to take my pic with these guys - George Washington, Marquis de Lafayette, and Alexander Hamilton on the green in Morristown. They didn't even mind holding my handbag! To keep this look casual, I grabbed a light weight knit from Zara to go under the jacket, my favorite Citizens of Humanity jeans and the MUST-HAVE booties for Fall.

Sweaty Betty!

Over the Summer while attending a BBQ at a good friend's house, I was fortunate enough to meet the owners of Sweaty Betty! What a treat! I immediately bombarded them with questions about their brand; how they chose the fabrics, the design...I definitely talked their ears off! LOL. What I found out is that so much time and dedication goes into the brand, bringing the consumer honestly the most comfortable and great looking workout clothes out there!

I'm addicted to these Zero Gravity Run Leggings (similar). The fabric is so light, it truly feels like you aren't wearing anything (in a good way!) Oh, and they make your "bum" look great too! When I work out, I love tank tops that have a built in jog bra...it's just one less thing to think about. The Namaska Bamboo padded yoga tank fit the bill perfectly. Once again, I have to mention the fabric! This tank feels like a t-shirt, but is so light in weight! Final touch: my retro new balance sneaks!

We are all crazy busy, right? I feel like I go from one thing to the next with barely enough time to eat something that doesn't come in a wrapper! So, on today's blog I wanted to save you a few minutes in your day, by showing you how to take your Sweaty Betty workout clothes and turn them into a casual day look! It just requires two things....a silk black bomber jacket and high top sneakers (similar). Last touch: dry shampoo (lol).

Sweater PANTS!

Nothing says Fall like a nice cozy sweater and maybe a PSL from Starbucks?! Am I right? Well, I have plenty of sweaters in my closet (though there is always room for more), but what I didn't have were sweater pants! Did you know there was such a thing? Well, there is...and they are warm, cozy, and super cute!

Sweater Pants_0189.jpg

I found these sweater pants at Aritizia. You're not surprised, are you? It is one of my favorite stores! They run true to size and are beyond comfortable and cozy! I wanted to keep the look casual, so I grabbed a cute tee from Nordstrom, my favorite leather jacket from Aritzia, converse sneakers and my YSL tote! Super casual and perfect for Fall. All you need to do is grab a Starbucks!

Leather Makes Everything Better!

I love everything that is leather! Leather jackets, leather leggings, leather tops...even leather chairs! LOL. And it can even be faux leather - why not save some money?!? So, this season, I went on the hunt for a new leather skirt. I knew I wanted a black one and it had to be a little bit different. Oh, and did I hit the jackpot!!!

oversized sweater and leather skirt_0130.jpg

What is so fabulous about this look, is that everything (except the accessories) is from Zara! This cozy oversized sweater is actually my 15 year old daughters! It's such a bonus to be able to share clothes (less guilt during the purchase!). The bow on the back is such a sweet detail and this sweater works with anything from jeans and trousers to skirts! Can you believe this skirt was only $50??!!  Even though it is faux leather, it looks super rich and the belt gives it an edgy feel. The shoes, also from Zara, are so dainty and feminine! I love how they contrast with the skirt. Bag: YSL (my new and fave). Earrings: Anthropologie. Ear Cuff: Zoe Lev. The ear cuff was a birthday gift from my bestie and I love it!!! Maybe I am still young enough to be cool??!
