LEVI'S

I remember visiting my boyfriend (now husband) in Maryland after college. He was a grad student at Johns Hopkins. During my many weekend visits, we would drive down to DC for lunch and I would always drag him to a vintage Levi's store in Georgetown. This store (I wish I remembered the name) had so many pairs of jeans, it made my head spin .....with joy!! I am very sad to say that I no longer have those jeans that I bought many years ago (with much regret!), but I am very happy that Levi's are back and better than ever!

I truly believe that jeans can be dressed up or down. Whether they are ripped, frayed, or baggy, you can make any pair work for during the day or night by what you pair them with. I found these amazing Levi's on shopbop.com. What I loved about these Levi's was the fit and the detail on the seam...and the fact that they were flattering and comfortable (always a bonus)! I chose to dress up the jeans with this simple and feminine black cami. Final touch: my new favorite Malone Souliers heels!

Casual Daze!

I recently asked a few of my friends what they wanted to see more on my blog...and the unanimous answer was CASUAL LOOKS! You know, I always tell my clients that there is a huge "gray" area between wearing gym clothes all day and being dressed for a night on the town. Today, I am sharing a perfect example of this "gray" area!

These are my new favorite jeans from Madewell (on sale!). They are high waisted and have a great stretch to them (a great combo!). The wool cardigan is actually a men's sweater in an XS! I love incorporating menswear into my wardrobe! The plaid shirt (similar) is the perfect underpinning for this look. Final touches - my awesome Golden Goose sneakers (totally worth the price) and a Anthropologie tote (in-store only)!

Parker Dress - Two Ways!

I usually don't like to wear dresses in the Winter - it's just too darn cold! However, I do believe it is important to have one or two in your closet for those occasions where a dress is a must! Well, I found the PERFECT DRESS that will work for many events AND I showcased it TWO different ways.

This is a great day look - perfect for lunch with friends or a school meeting (let's all pretend that we have time to go out to lunch LOL). You truly cannot go wrong with a Parker dress. I love the color and print, and that it is long sleeves! I have been looking for a pair of over the knee boots for a very long time. Most that I have tried on have either been to tight in the leg or would fall down constantly. These Sam Edelman boots (on SALE!) did neither! They stayed up perfectly without squeezing my thigh and I love the heel height. And I am so into back packs right now!! Honestly, I can't think of a better bag for a working mom. Who else out there needs both hands free at all times??

I easily switched up this day look by changing the accessories! I added a long vest (similar)  (similar) for over the dress, switched out the boots for Malone Souliers heels, and then swapped Botkier backpack for a blush pink (hot new color - FYI) Rebecca Minkoff clutch.

Color Block Faux Fur Coat!

I definitely have a faux fur addiction! There are worse things, right?? There are so many amazing styles and choices out there right now and at GREAT price points! This season, my favorite style is the multi-colored faux fur. It is SO fun and unexpected. And I just HAD to have one! LOL

This faux fur jacket is from Zara and warm and so cozy. It is sold out online - sorry!!...But here are some similar styles (similar)  (similar) I am also obsessed with mixing patterns, so I grabbed these super cute leopard booties. The heel isn't super high, so they are a perfect day shoe. Last, but not least, my fave distressed jeans. (similar). These high-waisted jeans (my favorite fit after 3 kids!) are comfortable and flattering!

Loving Florals!

So, as a woman who lives in neutral colors and shies away from prints, I have to admit that I am totally digging the floral trend right now!!! Can you believe it? I have also become obsessed with mixing patterns. It can be so unexpected... and take a great look to a fantastic level!

I have always loved Parker dresses. They are super flattering and comfortable. I fell in love with this floral long sleeve dress because I knew it could be worn on its own or with a blazer (similar)! I paired the look with velvet heels (similar) and a gorgeous star print Rebecca Minkoff clutch (on sale!). This look is sophisticated and shows how mixing patterns can be so much fun!!
